Bisti De-Na-Zin Wilderness New Mexico

The Bisti De-Na-Zin Wilderness area is about 40 miles south of Farmington, New Mexico off of State Highway 371. Bisti Wilderness is a desolate badlands offering some of the most interesting formations in the Four Corners area. The Bisti Wilderness is open year round and is popular for hiking, backbacking, camping, horseback riding and photography. If you do camp, no campfires are allowed in the wilderness area. Be sure to bring plenty of water and a good map.

Parking is available at both the Bisti and De-Na-Zin access points. Be sure to check weather conditions as roads and wilderness terrain may become slick and impassible in bad weather.
